Hello my name is Alex,

Following childhood experiences I became more interested in spiritual awareness and healing practices about 20 years ago. This interest grew and led me to take a Channelling course in 1995 with the School of the Living Light which was then located near Cambridge. Through the school's newsletter I met with other people and formed a channelling practice group in London. I found that I was being guided along a healing path and decided to formally train as a Reiki Practitioner.

I undertook Reiki Practitioner Training in 1998 with Reiki Master Marco de Alberdi at the School of the Living Light. The training and attunements were a beginning of a new path and after much practice I started to accept clients at the Bodywise Natural Health Centre in Bethnal Green.

I moved to Mevagissey in October 2006 and my partner, Chris, and I run the Bayview Guest House on Polkirt Hill. We have an emphasis on sustainability without compromising our guest's comfort and enjoyment. Chris and I both knew Cornwall from childhood holidays and very much appreciate the opportunity to live here.

My Grandmother, a Trewhella, was born and brought up in Cornwall before my Grandfather carried her away 'up country' on his motorbike. When I was a child she thrilled me with stories of growing up here and of course loved to tell me that we were related to the Mermaid of Zennor who lured Matthew Trewhella into the sea - fabulous! Due to work commitments my parents moved many times around the country but Cornwall was my constant base as we came here, to Portmellon, every year on holiday.

After leaving school I worked in hotels around the country and later became a restaurant manager in London for 10 years. I then took a complete change and now have a degree in Environmental Science which led to working on many environmental projects in London and the UK for 10 years. I am also setting up as a Toastmaster specialising in weddings in Cornwall.
